Privacy notice
Who we are
This site is run by GT Traders Limited, trading as Kerf, a company registered in Hong Kong at Unit 704C, 7/F, Block 3, Nan Fung Industrial City, 18 Tin Hau Road, Tuen Mun, New Territories, Hong Kong. We are the data user (in Hong Kong terms) and the data controller (in EU and UK terms) for the personal data described here.
What we collect and why
- The «Request the file» form: your name and email address. We use them to send you our track record and to reply to you about it.
- Booking a call: the «Book a call» buttons open Calendly, the scheduling service we use. Calendly asks for the details it needs to schedule the call (your name, email and time zone) and processes them under its own privacy notice, shown in its window.
- Occasional notes from Kerf: only if you tick the box under the form. Then we keep your name and email on our mailing list and send you, now and then, notes on raising from venture funds. Every such email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to us. Asking for the file does not put you on the list.
- Email you send us: whatever you choose to write, used to answer you.
We do not collect anything else through this site. Our own pages set no cookies and carry no analytics or tracking pixels. Calendly may set cookies inside its booking window.
On what basis
We process your details because you asked us for something: the file, a call or an answer. In EU and UK terms this is our legitimate interest in responding to your request, and your consent where you gave it by sending the form. The mailing list rests on your consent alone, the box you ticked, and we keep a record of when you ticked it. You can withdraw either consent at any time by writing to us, or, for the list, by using the unsubscribe link.
How long we keep it
We keep the details from the form and from our correspondence for as long as we are in contact with you and for twelve months after our last exchange, unless the law requires a longer period or you ask us to delete them earlier. If you joined the mailing list, we keep your name and email on it until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
Who else sees it
Only the people and providers needed to deliver what you asked for: our hosting provider, Resend (which sends our email and hosts the mailing list) and, if you book a call, Calendly. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
We are based in Hong Kong and our providers may process data in other countries. Where the law requires safeguards for such transfers, we rely on the providers’ standard contractual terms.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. Write to hello@kerf.vc and we will answer within the time the applicable law allows. If you are in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority; in Hong Kong, to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data.
Changes
If this notice changes, the new version appears here with a new date.
